The days of burlap and boots are coming to end (hopefully) and we're moving on to more fabulous wedding days ahead!

Here are Team Wedding's predictions for 2016 wedding trends.

Wildflowers for Dayzzzz

They're colorful, they're whimsical, and they're cheap! Three of our favorite things for weddings!

We think wildflowers will be taking over in spring/summer 2016, giving brides a pop of fun and color that will produce unique floral arrangements every time. They're fancy enough for your big day but casual enough to match our millennial free spirit. Plus, they look awesome with Instagram filters.

Family Style Food

You don't have to be southern to enjoy a good family style meal, and it doesn't have to be BBQ! People are yearning to connect with each other like when they were growing up, and family style seating for weddings allows strangers to become friends, along with eliminating the hassle of waiting in a buffet line. Seat your guests at a table and have them pass the rolls as they get to know one another with this intimate style.

Rosegold (And Sequins!)

This trend has been in the making long before the iphone hit the shelves. Rose gold is a lovely wedding color to pair with white and gold, giving any wedding an elegant sheen and an adorable palette to work with. Sequins are right behind the color, as every bride will be adding sequins in some form or fashion to her big day, whether it be with table clothes or bridesmaids dresses...there will be glitter.

Out of the Barn, into the City

Barn weddings will still be hanging in there in the years to come, and even though the Gatsby themed weddings are on the way out young couples are looking for unique city venues to host their big party in. And from what we can see, the more unique the better!

Ditching the Bridesmaids Bouquets

Gone are the days of traditional bridesmaid bouquets! Brides are opting for new ways to send their ladies down the aisle. Everything from bundles of lavender to antique trinkets are taking the place of floral arrangements.

Mixed-Gender Wedding Parties

Here's one tradition we're happy to see on it's way out! Bridemaids and groomsmen are mixing it up, allowing your best guy-friends and girlfriends to be on either side of the bridal party! One small step towards gender equality, one GIANT leap for a super fabulous wedding!

We hope some of these trends with inspire your own dream wedding! Remember that nothing is in or out of style in the end, it's YOUR day and you can celebrate anyway you'd like to!
