When I met Airren, it was obvious that we were on the same page. We just got each other. In fact, we got along so well we barely got anything accomplished our first two meetings because we ended up just hanging out and drinking wine!
Helping her plan her big day was so special, because we shared the fact that we were both in long distance relationships and we knew the struggle of planning a wedding when your counterpart is far away.
Her counterpart, Dustin, by the way...is the sweetest thing ever.
And even though I didn't meet Dustin until their wedding day, I knew one thing was for sure, and that was that their love was evident and stronger than any distance between them.
They got married at the adorable Spence Cabin, hidden away in the Great Smoky Mountains.
The ceremony was held right in front of a babbling river, surrounded by lush greenery and sunshine. It was an extra special ceremony for us, because I got to be the officiant! We also loved that we got to throw a few Star Wars references into it.
Did we mention their adorable wedding party?
After the ceremony the talented JOPHOTO took them off into the wilderness for some gorgeous couple photos and a bridal portrait session!
The reception smelled of lavender and was full of good food, family, and fun. And some of the most scrumptious cakes ever!
Guests put their greetings into a rustic wishing well.
After the reception, guests grabbed bird seed favors Airren handmade, and then sent the couple out with a shower of seeds!
It was so much fun to be a part of seeing these two begin their new adventure. We loved how caring and loving they were, and adored getting to help them celebrate the creation of a new family.
